BUTTERFLY BENEFIT CONCERTS Further to Ventnor's increasing reputation as a Butterfly town, Vaguely Sunny are organizing two concerts in support of the Isle of Wight branch of the National Butterfly Conservation Charity. These will be held at St Catherines Church, Church Street, Ventnor on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18. Muscians appearing in the concerts are as follows: Friday, September 17th Cephalodidge - didgeridoo player and ambient musicain who appeared at Folk Station this summer and at the Ventnor Fringe. Deborah Hodgson - singer/songwriter with a great voice who first came to Vaguely Sunny's notice at the Isle of Wight Festival last year where she played in the Big Top on the Saturday. Luke Steen - Ventnor-based musician who has just completed his BA in Music at Platform One. He is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in All Seasons Ale Club. Michael Champion - guitarist/vocalist with The Shutes. Rob Wilson - Ventnor's resident butterfly expert who is also a musician. Saturday, September 18th Paul Armfeild - needs no introduction. Deborah Hodgson - see above Holly Kirby - this will be Holly's last Island appearance before she goes to Surrey Univertsity to study Creative Music Technology. The Halsey Duo - classical music from James Halsey (cello) and his daughter Sally (piano) Rob Wilson - see above.
